A technical cooperation agreement with the Japanese government in building the Telecommunications Training Center, Nonthaburi under the Ministry of Education.

1964
The Telecommunications Training Center, Nonthaburi was changed into a college, renaming itself to Nonthaburi Telecommunications College.

1972
Nonthaburi Telecommunications College changed its name to Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Nonthaburi Center.

1974
King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology changed from an institute under the Ministry of Education to be under the State University Bureau and changed the word “center” to “campus” – the Nonthaburi Center was renamed to the Nonthaburi Ladkrabang Campus.

Microwave transmission tower has been the symbol of the present-day KMITL

1974
Faculty of Engineering was moved to Ladkrabang district (Eastern side of Bangok).
The Telecommunications Department was the first Faculty of Engineering and the microwave transmission tower was constructed.

1986
King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Nonthaburi Ladkrabang Campus was renamed to King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
