Nonthaburi Telecommunication Training Center (NTTC) was founded as a cooperation between Thai and Japanese Government

1963
NTTC was expanded to become the Nonthaburi Telecommunication College (NTC)

1967
NTC offered 5-years undergraduate program

1974
NTC became King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology (KMIT), Nonthaburi campus
(A part of KMIT system with North Bangkok campus and Thonburi campus)

Microwave transmission tower has been the symbol of the present-day KMITL

1974
NTC became King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Nonthaburi campus (KMITNC).
KMITNC was moved to Ladkrabang district (Eastern side of Bangok).
The Telecommunications Department was the first Faculty of Engineering and the microwave transmission tower was constructed.

1978
KMITNC officially became KMITL.
